In this post, you will find a scrapbook sketch for 5×7 photo.
One of my ongoing projects is to create albums for my sons’ school photos and for their team sports. They usually get professional portraits taken for their school yearbooks and with their teams. When I place orders for their pics, I always order a 5×7 copy that I can use for scrapbooking.
Those spares have just been sitting in a box, but now I plan to finally get some albums put together using those photographs. However, before I could roll up my sleeves and get scrapping, I had to make a few sketches using 5×7 photos. I have a few sketches ready now, and as I have time, I plan to convert them to digital drawings and share them with you here. Here is the first one…
Layout Details
This sketch is for a 12″ x 12″ layout using one vertical 5″ x 7″ photo.
Here are the sizes for all the page elements:
- Cut two background mats: a 4″ x 4″ mat is layered under the photo and a 3″ x 3-3/4″ mat is layered under the patterned paper on the right side of the layout
- Cut a 5-1/2″ x 1-1/4″ mat for the title
- To embellish the area under the title mat, cut strips in the following sizes from patterned paper : one 5-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ and two 5-1/2″ x 1/2″
- Add the journaling as shown and embellish
That’s it – this scrapbook sketch for 5×7 photo should help you to put together a quick and easy scrapbook layout. I hope you like it!
I hope to have more 5×7 scrapbook sketches to share in the near future, but until then, drop me a line in the comments to just say hello or to share what kind of projects you are working on…
