When I came across this laundry basket growth chart posted by Brian H.* on Pinterest, it made me want to go back in time. I would have loved to use this idea to capture how much my two boys grew and changed in that first year. Little ones grow so quickly! Using the laundry basket as a size reference when taking monthly photographs is a great way to visually preserve memories of that time in your child’s life.

Although it’s too late for me, I know there are other scraplifters out there who would love this idea. It is so adorable – and simple too!
If you would like to do a series of photos like this for your infant’s scrapbook, here are a few tips to get you started:
First, mark the monthly photo dates on your calendar. Life can get busy – especially with a newborn in the house! If you don’t schedule a photo session every month, you may forget.
Second, fill the basket with baby’s favorites. Instead of whatever laundry you happen to be pulling out of the dryer at the time, fill the basket with your baby’s favorite toys, outfits, and blankets. This is a great way to preserve memories of those treasured items.
