Hello Scraplifters! Today I have an early Christmas gift for you – free printable Santa candy bar wrappers! Use your color printer to print the PDF (available below), then cut out good old Saint Nick and wrap him around a regular-sized Hershey’s candy bar. Easy peasy! It’s a gift that the kiddos – or really, anyone who likes chocolate – will love!

The candy wrappers are fun and easy to make. In the instructions below, I have included a few tips on how I assembled mine.
SANTA CANDY BAR WRAPPERS – STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Supplies:
- free printable Santa candy bar wrappers (see link above)
- a PDF program, such as Adobe Reader, to open the document
- color printer
- paper (for my Santa, I used presentation paper)
- scissors or paper trimmer
- double-sided tape or tape runner
- regular size Hershey candy bars (1.55 oz/43 g)
Optional Supplies
- white pom pom for hat
- black paper fasteners for buttons
- hot glue gun to attach pom pom
STEP ONE: Download and Print the Template
Download the template and open in Adobe Reader or other PDF program. The template includes a Christmas greeting on the back. This box is editable, so you can personalize it with your own holiday message or the name of your recipient.
For printing, you could use regular copy paper or card stock. However, for best results, I recommend using presentation paper. Regular copy paper is too thin, while card stock is usually too thick. For my Santa, I used Epson Premium Matte Presentation Paper. It’s heavy duty but not too thick to fold around the candy bar. The Epson paper is also ultra smooth and has a special coating that ensures a smudge-free finish. As a side note, I have an HP printer. Even though I have a different brand printer, the paper works well with my ink.
STEP TWO: Cut and Adhere
After the template is done printing, allow the ink to dry for a minute or two, and then cut it out. You can use scissors, but I recommend a paper trimmer for quick, straight cuts. I then added two black paper fastener buttons to Santa’s coat (see “Step Three” below). Wrap the template around the candy bar, visually lining up the “face” of the template with the front of the candy bar. To adhere, I used my Scotch ATG tape gun, but you could use double-sided tape or any permanent adhesive tape runner.
STEP THREE: Add Your Personal Touch
At this point, your Santa may be ready for gift-giving. However, you may want to add a couple of crafty touches. For my Santa Claus candy bar wrapper, I adhered a small pom pom to the top of his hat using my hot glue gun. As noted in “Step Two” above, after I had printed and cut out the candy wrapper, I also pierced his button holes and added two small black paper fasteners.
