Can you believe it – it’s 2012 already! To kick off the year, I want to share with you a handy scrapbooking photo checklist that I plan to use this year.
First, I have a confession to make…in 2011, I was B-A-D! I took very few pictures of my two boys, and unfortunately, I didn’t realize it until it was too late. Every November, I sit down and make photo calendars for the coming year, for not only me, but to give as Christmas gifts to my parents and in-laws.
Well, when I sat down to make my calendars in November, I realized I had nothing to work with! I had taken snapshots here and there, but there were months at a time when my camera stayed in its case. I didn’t have enough to even put together a calendar!
Before Christmas, I warned my mother-in-law that she would not get one this year, and oh my, you should have seen her face fall. I felt so bad! So, this year, I am implementing a photo checklist to make sure I have enough for my 2013 photo calendar.
I found an awesome downloadable checklist of “10 Can’t Miss Photos to Take Each Month” from Creating Keepsakes. They also have a empty fill-in-the-blank form, to make your own custom checklist. Here are the links to the scrapbooking photo checklist PDFs (you will need Adobe Reader to open and view them):
I’m using the fill-in-the-blank checklist, but like any true scraplifter, I pulled some of the ideas off of the “Can’t Miss” form! If you have any other ideas and suggestions to keep on track with taking photos throughout the year, I would love to hear them – just leave a note in the comments below.
