Learn How to Make Handmade Rosettes

Rosettes are one of my favorite embellishments for scrapbook layouts and handmade cards, but I have to admit, the first few that I tried to make did not turn out too well! However, about a year ago, I came across a quick and easy tutorial on the Making Memories blog that helped me learn what I was doing wrong…

For one, I was not using the right kind of glue. I thought my handy ATG gun could handle everything, but I was wrong – the tape in it is not strong enough for this kind of project. A good old-fashioned glue gun does the trick though!

Also, I thought the button or embellishment that is placed on the top of the rosette is enough to hold everything together. However, the rosette should be hot glued to a circular base. The base should be smaller than the diameter of the rosette – of course, unless you prefer that it show!
