I am so excited to share with you the free printables for organizing school pictures and papers that I recently came across…
This is one area that I need serious help! Both my sons bring home artwork and other papers from school that I put in a pile to keep. Unfortunately, over the years, that pile has grown (and grown, and grown!) — it’s on my list of goals this year to finally get all those papers organized and purged down so that they fit neatly into one or two boxes.
Jen from I Heart Organizing (see the link below) had an awesome post back in November regarding how she is handling the artwork and other papers that her three sons bring home from school. She has three file boxes (one for each son), and in each file box, she has placed thirteen hanging file folders (for kindergarten through 12th grade).
She has created colorful file folder labels, available for download, that can be printed on Avery 5160 and 5366 labels. She has also created a printable cover sheet for each folder, with room for placing a school portrait, along with information about the school year.
This is such a great idea! Thanks to Jen’s free printables, I am actually motivated to get working on this project that I have avoided for far too long. Here’s the link where you can see Jen’s organization system in person and download her labels and cover sheet:
